LAST DAY FOR THE SEASON!!! We will open at noon with STRAWBERRY, PUMPKIN, VANILLA and CHOCOLATE custard....and ORANGE sherbet! We will close when we run out, so come early! As we close down for the season, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your loyalty. We says this often, but our customers really are the best!!

LAST PEANUT BUTTER DAY OF THE SEASON! We will also have LIME sherbet (after 2:00pm). We have pints ready for you to take home, but once they are gone...you’re out of luck 😉. A few people have asked about our Pumpkin custard. We will run that (as well as Strawberry) on our last day, Sunday September 9th. Just a reminder, on that day we will close when we run out, so come early!! Our hours today-Saturday are noon-9.

Sunday Funday!! Today we will have STRAWBERRY custard and ORANGE sherbet....and we still have the Pretzel Salad Sundae! Noon-10:30! Don’t forget, you can still enjoy Hank’s, even after we close for the season! We have all of our flavors ready to go in pints! Since this is our last week, be aware that we will run the “flavor of the day” and have it available in pints....but once that flavor is gone, that’s it. Woohoo! It’s FRIDAY!!! We hope everyone has had a fabulous week and a great start to the school year!! We get a lot of questions and comments about our closing date. For roughly the last ten plus years, we’ve closed the Sunday after Labor Day. Believe us, we’d LOVE to stay open through some of the fall. It’s the most beautiful time of the year in Conneaut Lake. The problem is, our staff consists of high school and college students. They take this job because it’s a true “summer job”. We’d love to keep them forever, they are great kids, but they all go back to school in late August. Some of our college kids go back even earlier. Most of our employees are involved in some sort of after school activity whether it be track, soccer, dance, etc. or even after school academic groups that require evening participation. All of that being said, we are left with zero employees once school is in full swing. We are a SEASONAL business, always have been, always will be. BLACK CHERRY custard and TANGERINE sherbet today!! We will also be featuring our PRETZEL SALAD SUNDAE through Monday! Hi friends! Today (TUESDAY) is the last Tuesday we will be open for this summer, and we have CAPPUCCINO custard and PEACH sherbet! Before anyone freaks out, we are still open the other six days of the week....until we close for the season. Speaking of, our last day for this season will be Sunday, September 9th. There is still lots of time to come out and enjoy our frozen custard! It’s been an awesome season so far, our customers are the BEST! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Happy Friday friends! Today’s custard is BLACK CHERRY and our sherbet is TANGERINE. Ever wonder how our machines work? Here is a short video from start to finish. The custard is poured into the upper hopper. The stream is controlled by a valve to make sure that not too much or little goes in at once. It travels down the barrel as it freezes and is pushed foreword by a series of blades and knives. Comes out the front when it is ready to be scooped!
